Here is my secret, a very simple secret: you can only see things clearly with the heart; what is essential is invisible to the eye
This is one of the most valuable secrets contained in a book that tells of long journeys, fantastic encounters and the mysteries that we have always sought – and still seek – to resolve.
Let’s keep this secret well in mind, take it to heart: “What is essential is invisible to the eye,” and with bated breath, without expecting an answer but allowing the adventures of a child – a “little prince” with implacable, transparent gaze – resonate with simplicity and passion; and let’s open the book and begin to read, preparing ourselves for a long journey.
